Landsmith Associates was approached by Totnes Town Council to produce in collaboration with Burton Reid Associates and Street Reimagined a Green Infrastructure Strategy (GIS) for the town council ward area.  This strategy was developed with the Town Council, South Hams Devon District Council and Devon County Council as a supporting technical guide to accompany the Neighbourhood Plan.

 

Totnes is a thriving market town in south Devon.  It borders South Hames AONB and is the gateway to the River Dart estuary and beyond.  The town is growing and the future of the area must focus on low carbon sustainable growth to serve existing  and future residents, attract investment, enhance biodiversity, decreasing social isolation and improve health and well being.

 

GIS's provide a cohesive proposals backed by evidence collated nationally, regionally and locally, desktop as well as site appraisals.  In July 2020, Totnes Town Council is to put their Neighbourhood Development Plan to vote on proposals.
