Pathfinder Design Code for Tewkesbury, Cheltenham and Gloucester

We are delighted to announce that Landsmith Associates has been appointed to work with Nash Partnership and David Hawes on the Pathfinder Design Code for Tewkesbury Borough, Cheltenham Borough and Gloucester City Councils.
This landmark project will set out clear expectations for the design of new development across the three authorities, focusing on how places are planned, connected and delivered. The Design Code is strategic in scope – creating a framework for healthier, greener and more resilient communities.

Our role
Working alongside Nash Partnership and David Hawes, we bring expertise in landscape strategy, green infrastructure and nature-positive design. Our contribution will focus on mapping, visualisation and integrating environmental standards, ensuring the Design Code is ambitious, measurable and practical. Our particular focus is the create measurable targets linked to Natural England Green Infrastructure Standards and Building with Nature.
Looking ahead
The Pathfinder Design Code represents a significant opportunity to influence development at scale, balancing the need for homes and jobs with climate resilience, biodiversity and wellbeing.
